What's Here

Groceries – There are several grocery stores in Los Barriles, about 5 KM north of Spa. Get back on the main road and go right (north). The entrance of the town has a water feature, can’t miss it. Turn right onto the main street. About 200 meters on the left is Chapitos, the largest grocery store in town. Good selection of U.S. products.

Restaurants -– Los Barriles is where most of the restaurants are, however Tia Licha's in Spa is very good for breakfast and lunch.
- Tio Pablos – the place to get Gringo food. Pizza, hamburgers, steaks etc. Also the best night life due to karaoke nights.
- El Viejo, in the middle of town – very good and reasonable – fresh seafood everyday. Open B/L.
- Barrilitos, at the north end of town – good local food, fresh seafood, good margaritas. They also have a sushi bar and it's quite good.
- Buzzards, on the left inthe Plaza as you drive into town. Good place to knock back a few and watch a game. They have hot dogs.
- Las Palmas Hotel for the resort atmosphere – killer margaritas. They also have sushi on occasion, hot dogs and hamburgers.
- Campestre Trini, across from the martial arts studio in the center of town, pricey but good food.
- Baja Cactus on the main highway past the Los Barriles entrance right side of road – good fresh seafood and very reasonable prices. Try the scallops.
- Buena Vista Resort in the Spa, good bar, great bartenders, decent food.
- There are many other restaurants and taco stands that are quite good.

Gas – there are two Pemex gas stations in town, one about half way to Los Barriles from the casa and the other on highway 1 on the way out of Los Barriles. Keep a full tank as sometimes they run dry for days at a time. If you have a rental car and need to return it full, the Pemex station at Mira Flores is the place to fill up.

Fishing – Buena Vista Hotel in Spa is a good place for fishing charters. It’s convenient, just a two minute walk down the beach. Other charters are Las Palmas Resort and Martin Verdugos in LB
